THE GAME PLAN
Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma State in the final round of the women's basketball Bedlam Series at the Lloyd Noble Center Saturday, Feb. 4, at 12 p.m. The game will be televised on the Sooner Sports Network with Bob Carpenter and Billy Tubbs calling the action. The radio broadcast with Brian Brinkley airs on KREF 1400 AM in Oklahoma City and Norman.
Promotions for Saturday
Saturday is Military Appreciation Day and OU will honor each branch of the service during pre-game festivities.
Limited-edtion Sooner hats designed by OU head coach Sherri Coale will be distributed to the first 1,000 through the Lloyd Noble Center doors when they open at 10:30 a.m. in recognition of I Love Hoops weekend.
Foam fingers availble for OU students in the student section seats.
Halftime will feature a performance by Evolution of Dance creator Judson Lappily.
OU Tickets Available
Season Tickets are available for as low as $114. Tickets may be purchased online at SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-456-GoOU.
Single-game tickets went on sale to the general public Nov. 1. Prices are $15 for reserved seating, $8 for general admission adults and $5 for general admission youths and senior citizens. OU students receive free admission when presenting a valid ID.
The Teams
Oklahoma State is 12-6 overall and 4-5 in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls have dropped three of their last five since beating OU in Stillwater on Jan. 14.
Oklahoma is 14-6 and second in the Big 12 with a 6-3 record in conference play. OU is not ranked in either poll.
Oklahoma will seek revenge on Oklahoma State after falling to the Cowgirls in Stillwater, 66-63, on Feb. 4. OU leads the all-time series 53-36 and has a 28-11 advantage in Norman. The Sooners have not lost consecutive games to OSU since 1998. OU has a 13-game winning steak against OSU in Norman.
The Coaches
Sherri Coale is 350-161 (.685) in her 16th season at Oklahoma. She has been named the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
Jim Littell is 11-6 (.647) in his first season as the head coach at Oklahoma State.

PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma State comes to Norman with a two game losing streak, having fallen to Kansas State, 67-56, in Stillwater and Iowa State, 73-52, in Ames.
The Cowgirls feature one of the nation's top defenses. OSU is fourth nationally in field goal percentage defense, allowing just 32.5 percent from its opponents. Its scoring defense is in the top 50 nationally with an average of 56.9 points scored against.
Freshman Liz Donohoe leads three Cowgirls who average double-figure scoring with 12.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Sophomore Tiffany Bias, who is ranked fifth in the NCAA in assists per game (6.9), adds 11.8 points per game.
Junior Toni Young, the team's leading rebounder, contributes 11.5 points and 6.9 rebounds.
Oklahoma State is leading the Bedlam Series this year 9-0, but no contests between the two schools have been played since the women's basketball game on Jan. 14.

OU-KANSAS LEFTOVERS
Sharane Campbell scored a game- and career-high 23 points and had a career-high four steals for the second straight game. Campbell scored five of OU's 10 points in overtime. The freshman have averaged 15.3 points over the last four games.
Sherri Coale recorded her 497th win as a head coach. Coale has 350 wins in 16 years with the Sooners and totaled 197 in seven years at Norman High School.
Oklahoma scored just 25 points in the first half despite hitting 42.3 percent of its shots. The Sooners have only one game on record in which they had a better field goal percentage and scored equal to or fewer points than it did in the first half Tuesday. OU trailed at Missouri last season 30-25 after hitting 42.9 percent of its first-half attempts.
Aaryn Ellenberg's 3-point drought continued. The sophomore, OU's leading scorer, was held to a career-low 1 point and was 0-for-2 from beyond the arc, extending her streak to 13 consecutive 3-point misses over the last three games.
Jelena Cerina, who entered the game with six total points in Big 12 play, scored eight points and held Kansas' leading scorer Carolyn Davis to just six points during her career-high 31 minutes on the floor. Davis, who finished with 17 points, scored KU's first six points but was held below her season average of 18.2.
HAND VOTED ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN
Oklahoma's Whitney Hand was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 Women's Basketball First Team, announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America. As a first-team all-district selection, the Sooner co-captain will be eligible for consideration as an Academic All-American.Hand graduated with a 3.76 GPA in health and exercise science in December. The Sooners have had 13 Academic All-District women's basketball players under the 16-year tutelage of Sherri Coale. Four have been voted Academic All-Americans.
COALE CLOSING ON VICTORY NO. 500
Sherri Coale guided Norman High School to two state championships and a 147-40 record in seven years before becoming the Sooners' head coach. In the college ranks, Coale has 350 victories in 16 seasons, leaving her just three shy of 500 in her career as a head coach.
TWO SOONERS ON NAISMITH WATCH
Sophomore Aaryn Ellenberg and redshirt-junior Whitney Hand were among the 51 women's college basketball players on the Naismith Trophy Early-Season Watch List released Nov. 29. Ellenberg has averaged 16.2 points for Oklahoma this season. Against Liberty, the 5-7 guard set an OU record by making a 3-pointer in a 23rd consecutive game, which extended to 29. Hand has totaled 12.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as she recently crossed 900 career points.
