Oklahoma ended a three-game road losing streak with its 71-62 win at Texas Tech Wednesday.
Oklahoma has won 14 of its last 15 meetings with Texas Tech. Oklahoma leads the overall series 24-22.
A victory would guarantees Oklahoma at least fourth place in the Big 12 standings, which is where the Sooners were picked to finish in the Preseason Big 12 Coaches' Poll. OU has finished at or better than its Big 12 preseason pick in seven straight seasons and 12 of 16 (there was no poll in the league's first season of 1996-97).
OU is 16-2 when leading at halftime; 15-2 when it has more rebounds than its opponent; 13-2 when it attempts 20 or more free throws; and 15-0 when it allows 65 or fewer points.
AARYN ELLENBERG
Ellenberg becmae Oklahoma's 27th player to score 1,000 points in a career. She entered the game 14 points shy of the milestone and scored 20.
Ellenberg is just the third Sooner (Courtney Paris, 2007; Molly McGuire, 1981) to reach 1,000 by the end of her sophomore year.
Ellenberg and Whitney Hand, who reached 1,000 career points on Feb. 21, are just the fourth pair of Sooner teammates to reach 1,000 career points in the same season.
With 20 points and 11 rebounds, Ellenberg had her first career double-double.
Ellenberg also matched a career high with six assists.
Ellenberg made two 3-pointers and now trails Nyeshia Stevenson for third on OU's career 3-pointers made rankings by six.
NICOLE GRIFFIN
With two blocks, Griffin recorded her 49th of the season to match LaNae Jones for the eighth best single-season in the category by a Sooner.
WHITNEY HAND
Hand is No. 7 all-time at Oklahoma with 142 3-pointers made, trailing sixth-place Chelsi Welch by two.
