  Head Coach Sherri Coale

On the game:
"I thought we settled down a little bit today and found a little bit more rhythm about us. I thought our guards did a great job of keeping a hand high, meeting them early, getting through flare screens and guarding the curls. They really took away Riverside's strengths and that's what we tried to do with our game plan. I'm really pleased; I thought we were focused and ready to go."

On Nicole Griffin's and Aaryn Ellenberg's scoring:
"We really wanted to attack the paint early on. We felt like we had an advantage with Nic [Nicole Griffin] in there and, ironically, that didn't really happen until the end of the game. That's really when she stacked her points. But that will happen sometimes, too. One is a reflection of the other. We got Vegas [Aaryn Ellenberg] some open looks because they were concerned about Nic in the paint, and then when she knocks down 3s, then you have an opening and you're able to feed and get looks close to the basket. The two complement one another."

On adjusting after Whitney Hand's injury:
"It's all an adjustment. It's a grand adventure that we're all on here. Over the week, Morgan [Hook] missed three practices because she had a death in the family, so we had seven guys. We just tried to utilize our time the best we could. We worked a lot on entries and timing and certain sets and that came to fruition today. You could see that we were sharper."

  Junior Guard Aaryn Ellenberg

On being more aggressive offensively:
“I think I'm always looking to score. I think, for me, more, it's taking better shots and not trying to force it.

On limiting turnovers:
“I think it's probably a focal point all the time, because being one of the people who has the ball the most, I probably shouldn't be turning it over that much. Tonight was better at not doing that. I think it's more just not being so rushed. I get rushed a lot. It's more squaring up in triple threat and being ready and not trying to force it and doing it all by myself.”

  Junior Center Nicole Griffin

On difference between first half and second half:
“The first half, I was really rushed. I was taking a lot of shots that where I wasn't even looking at where my defender was, I just kind of went. In the second half, I was more patient and I got the ball deep in the post, so I had a better chance of making my shot.”
