The 86-80 loss to UCLA broke a string of 14 consecutive home-opening wins by Oklahoma. Sherri Coale's record in home openers dropped to 14-3.

Aaryn Ellenberg took over second on Oklahoma's career 3-pointers list, making seven in the game for 179 overall. She passed Etta Maytubby (1993-96), who had 174.

Aaryn Ellenberg and Whitney Hand were briefly tied in career scoring in Wednesday's game. Ellenberg entered with 1,114 points and scored 24 to finish with 1,138. Hand entered with 1,125 career points and scored 19 to end with 1,144. Hand and Ellenberg ranked 24th and 25th, respectively, on OU's career scoring list.

Ellenberg 6-for-6 3-point performance in the first half set an OU record for 3-point proficiency in a half.

Oklahoma's minus-22 rebound margin was its lowest since being outrebounded by 23 (47-24) by Notre Dame in a 73-58 Sweet 16 loss in Dayton, Ohio, on March 26, 2011.

Nicole Griffin blocked one shot, moving her into a tie for sixth on OU's career blocks list with Jacquetta Hurley (1983-86) and Lisa Allison(1984-87) with 84.
