NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma redshirt-junior forward Lyndsey Cloman has ended her basketball career, head coach Sherri Coale said following Thursday's 118-53 exhibition victory over Oklahoma Christian.

“Her back issue continues to worsen and so she will not be playing,” Coale said. “She's going to stay with the team, she'll travel with us, she'll be a part of everything that we do. But for Lindsey's future -- she's 21 years old -- she's got a bad back and we would like for her to live a healthy life. It was a very tough decision for Lyndsey but probably the right one. I think everybody agrees with that.”

Cloman averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 50 games as a Sooner. As a freshman, Cloman was part of a team that advanced to a Final Four played in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Cloman missed last season after tearing her ACL in OU's first exhibition game.
