NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma baseball program announced the dates for the annual Red/White Series on Monday. The best-of-five battle will get underway on Thursday, Nov. 1 at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman and end on Thursday, Nov. 8.
Game two is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, game three is set for Sunday, Nov. 4, game four on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and game five is slated for Thursday, Nov. 8.
The Red/White Series is open to the public and admission is free. Game times and team rosters will be released on SoonerSports.com and on the official OU baseball twitter page (@OU_Baseball).
The red teamclinched the seriesin four games for the second straight season in 2011.
The Sooners are poised to make another run at the NCAA Men's College World Series in 2013 under the watch of head coach Sunny Golloway. Oklahoma posted a 42-25 mark last season and reached its third Super Regional in program history.
Juniors Dillon Overton and Jonathan Gray, who combined to win 14 games and tally 230 strikeouts in 2012, are set to anchor the starting pitching rotation while Garrett Carey (3B), Hunter Lockwood (1B/C), Jack Mayfield (2B), Dylan Neal (C), Matt Oberste (DH/OF) and Max White (CF) return to the starting lineup. The Sooners add 17 newcomers to the roster in 2013.
