Women's Hoops TV Broadcasts Announced

NORMAN, Okla. -- Coverage of the University of Oklahoma women's basketball team will reach a record number of viewers this season as Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast at least 16 games on its network.

All of Oklahoma's home games, including two exhibition games on Thursday, Nov. 1, and Tuesday, Nov. 6, will be televised during the 2012-13 season. Games not selected for a national broadcast on FOX Sports Net or ESPN2 will be produced by Sooner Sports TV for broadcast on FS Southwest, FS Oklahoma or FS Oklahoma+.

Additionally, OU's three games of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown played in Honolulu, Hawaii, during the Thanksgiving weekend, will be available to fans via live webcasts on SoonerSports.tv.

All televised games will also be archived for replay on SoonerSports.tv.

Sooner Sports TV's first regular-season game broadcast comes Wednesday, Nov. 14, as OU hosts UCLA at the Lloyd Noble Center at 7 p.m. Central.

Following the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, Sooners Sports TV will televise the Sooners' six remaining non-conference games and seven conference games beginning with the Jan. 2 meeting with West Virginia, the Mountaineers' first game as a Big 12 Conference foe.

Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports provides the most comprehensive broadcast coverage of the Sooners ever offered. Besides live broadcasts of games, the network will showcase the OU women's basketball team with regularly-scheduled programs Inside Sooner Women's Basketball, a 30-minute show hosted by Bob Carpenter and women's basketball head coach Sherri Coale that features highlights and behind-the-scenes features, and Sooner Sports Talk, a one-hour weekly call-in program with Coale and men's basketball coach Lon Kruger.
