• Oklahoma led 34-33 at halftime but was outscored 39-27 after intermission in a 72-61 loss to No. 14/15 Kansas. The Sooners fell to 7-1 at home this year while the Jayhawks improved to 4-3 away from home.

• After shooting .424 from the field in the first half, Kansas posted a .600 mark in the second. OU shot .478 in the first 20 minutes but just .296 after halftime.

• Oklahoma committed 17 turnovers (tied for its second most of the season), which led to 20 Kansas points. The Jayhawks outscored OU 16-2 on fast break opportunities.

• KU posted a 48-16 points-in-the-paint advantage.

• The two best rebounding teams in the Big 12 Conference tied each other on the boards today, 34-34.

• Kansas junior guard Travis Releford scored a career-high 28 points on 9-for-13 field goal, 3-for-5 3-point and 7-for-8 free throw shooting in 34 minutes. His previous career high was 16 points (Wednesday vs. Kansas State).

• Junior guard Steven Pledger scored a team-high 14 points for OU, but he was held to 4-for-12 shooting. He made all five of his free throw attempts (shooting .870 on the year) and two of the team's three treys. Pledger has scored in double figures in all 13 of his games this year.

• With 11 points, junior forward Andrew Fitzgerald has scored in double figures in each of the last nine games and is averaging 14.9 points during the stretch. He added seven rebounds in 26 minutes today.

• Junior point guard Sam Grooms handed out five assists while committing one turnover to improve his assist-to-turnover ratio to 2.7 (he ranked second in the league entering the day).

• Junior guard Carl Blair scored 11 points off the bench in 12 minutes while also registering three assists. He went 6-for-6 at the free throw line and made his lone 3-point attempt.

• OU has totaled just nine 3-pointers over the last three games and Pledger has made eight of them.

• The Sooners play at Oklahoma State on Monday at 6 p.m. CT (televised by ESPNU).
