• Oklahoma overcame .389 field goal shooting and a 1-for-11 (.091) performance from 3-point range to post a 64-55 home win over Texas Tech. The Sooners (12-5 overall, 2-3 Big 12) improved to 9-1 at home this year.
• OU's .389 field goal performance was its second worst in victory this season (shot .365 in 78-74 season-opening win over Idaho State).
• The Sooners forced 21 Texas Tech turnovers. It was Tech's second-highest total of the season and the second highest by an OU opponent. OU outscored the Red Raiders 22-7 off turnovers.
• Oklahoma converted 21 of its 26 free throw attempts (.808). It leads the Big 12 (conference games) with a .782 mark.
• OU was outrebounded (37-34) for just the fourth time this season. It has been outboarded in three of its five Big 12 games.
• Steven Pledger was 1-for-6 from 3-point range but 5-for-7 from 2-ponit distance and finished with a game-high 17 points. Pledger has scored in double figures in all but one game and has led the team in points in nine of his 16 outings. He stayed perfect at the free throw line in Big 12 play (18-for-18) by going 4-for-4 tonight. Pledger is averaging 20.0 points in wins compared to 11.2 in losses.
• Romero Osby went 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the final 1:09 and finished with 15 points, a team-high eight rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots. He is averaging 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds over the last three games while shooting .563 from the field. Osby's two dunks tonight give him 26 on the season (OU has 45 as a team).
• Andrew Fitzgerald's 13-point night marked his 12th straight game to score in double figures. He is averaging 15.0 points on .517 shooting during the stretch.
• Sam Grooms tallied four assists against just one turnover in 35 minutes of action. It was the seventh time this year he finished with one or no turnovers.
• Cameron Clark scored 10 points off the bench for the second straight game. He added three rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
• After allowing Missouri and Kansas shoot a combined .545 from the field to start Big 12 play, OU has held Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Tech to a combined .371 mark. Each of the three opponents shot below .400.
• OU improved to 31-19 all-time against Texas Tech and to 19-6 in Norman. The Sooners are 22-11 against the Red Raiders since the start of the Big 12 Conference in 1996-97.
• The Sooners play at Texa A&M on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT (televised by the Big 12 Network).
