Ancer recovered from an early bogey and double bogey with three birdies on the final five holes. It was his sixth career top-10 finish and second in two tournaments this year.
Riley Pumphrey's team-best 1-under-par performance in the final round allowed him to join Ancer in a share for ninth place. Playing in his first tournament of the year, the Sooners' lone participating senior recorded four birdies on the day.
Ancer and Pumphrey finished seven strokes behind medalist Hunter Green of Middle Tennessee State. Green shot a third-round 67 (-4) to clinch a two-shot victory.

"We underachieved today as a group," said third-year OU head coach Ryan Hybl. "It's disappointing, but we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to get better. Otherwise, we will continue to be mediocre."
The Sooners will be back in action Oct. 7-9 when they travel to Macon, Ga., for the Brickyard Collegiate Championship.
