NORMAN, Okla. -- For the second year in a row, the University of Oklahoma's video production division, SoonerVision has won the Golden Matrix Award for Best Overall Video Display in the University category at the annual IDEA Conference.

This award recognizes organizations/teams that produce exceptional content for video boards and LED scoreboards.

The five-minute SoonerVision sample video featured a variety of clips used during football, basketball and baseball games and highlighted the annual "There's Only One" football intro video.

"It's an honor to be recognized by your peers in the industry," said Brandon Meier, OU Athletics' Executive Director of Video Production. "Our full-time and student staffs work very hard to create quality content for all of our venues and it's very rewarding to see our work recognized nationally.

The journey to improve the overall gameday experience and increase the quality of video board content at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium began in 2007 when the OU Athletics Department installed a new LED video board and invested two million dollars in a high definition video production facility.

"Our goal has always been to entertain, inform and inspire our fans through our many digital mediums. Doing this through our video boards is great because you get instant feedback from the fans. Watching 80,000 Sooner fans go crazy for the team introduction video that you helped create is a special feeling."
