NORMAN, Okla. -- Ten members of the University of Oklahoma rowing team received National Scholar Athlete honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

In order to receive the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average and participate in 75 percent of the team's races.

"I'm extremely proud of our team's success in the classroom," Head Coach Leeanne Crain said. "The individuals receiving this honor have demonstrated commitment in every way this season."

Rower Nicole Furmanek was named to the CRCA All South Region first team for her performance throughout the course of the season. Furmanek will be eligible for All-America selection.
