NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 7 University of Oklahoma baseball team (21-6, 4-3 Big 12) wrapped up its first Big 12 series win of the season Saturday night with a 11-1 victory over Texas Tech (17-10, 4-4) at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

The Sooners scored 11 runs off of 13 hits to outscore the Raiders 21-2 thru two games of the three-game set.

“We're coming out and taking the fight to somebody,” said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. “It's a good feeling. I told our guys down the line, this has been fun the last two nights, this is what we've been searching for.”

Oklahoma got rolling quickly, scoring four runs in the first inning, which included RBIs by four different Sooners. Cody Reine led the offensive charge Saturday night, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs.

Casey Johnson and Cameron Seitzer also had two hits on the night.  In the last three games, OU is 3-0 after posting 42 runs off 48 hits.

“Hitting is always contagious,” said Reine on the Sooners' offensive surge in the last three games.  “I feel like we've been working hard the last few weeks to make a big push.  I think we are starting to play our game again.”

Sooner starter Bobby Shore recorded a season-high six strikeouts on the night, but threw 73 pitches before being relieved in the fourth inning. Freshman Dillon Overton (4-2) took over for Shore and recorded the win with 2 1/3 scoreless innings.

Texas Tech starter Trey Masek (1-2) took the loss with seven runs allowed off eight hits in 2 1/3 innings.

The Sooners and Red Raiders play in the final game of the series at 1 p.m. on Sunday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. OU's Burch Smith (3-2) will take the mound opposite TTU's Robbie Kilcrease (3-0).

The game will be carried by the Sooner Sports Network both on radio (KREF 1400 AM) and television (Cox Ch. 3 in OKC and Tulsa) live from Norman.
