NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma sophomore guard Kodi Morrison will transfer at the end of the semester, OU head coach Sherri Coale announced.
Morrison is expected to enroll at East Central University (Ada, Okla.) and play immediately on full athletics scholarship at the NCAA Division II program.
"Her commitment and willingness to do whatever was asked, I think is very rare," Coale said. "We're excited she has this fantastic opportunity to play on a full scholarship."
A native of Seminole, Okla., Morrison joined the Sooners as a walk-on in January 2010 following a season-ending ACL injury to Whitney Hand. Morrison appeared in 18 games in her two seasons with Oklahoma, averaging 1.4 points and a .917 free throw percentage.
