Oklahoma defeated Texas Tech 71-69, blocking a last second shot by the Lady Raiders to advance to Friday's semifinal round. OU will play second-seeded Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m.
The Sooners victory matched Iowa State for a record 21 wins all-time in Big 12 Championship history. OU is 21-10 overall in the conference tournament.
OU seniors Carlee Roethlisberger and Danielle Robinson combined for 12-of-24 field goal shooting and 37 points. The rest of the Sooners combined for 12-for-38 shooting.
Carlee Roethlisberger
Carlee Roethlisberger matched a season-high with 18 points. Her scoring total was also her highest ever against a Big 12 Conference opponent.
Nicole Griffin
Nicole Griffin recorded her first double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Griffin had seven first-half rebounds, equaling her previous career high.
Whitney Hand
Whitney Hand recorded seven assists, for a second straight game (both against Texas Tech), matching her career best.
Danielle Robinson
The game was Danielle Robinson's 136th consecutive start, an OU and Big 12 record, and 137th overall.
Robinson had the 113th double-figure scoring game of her career, second at OU only to Courtney Paris' 134.
Robinson is three assists and one steal shy of joining Nancy Lieberman and Dawn Staley as the third top-level women's college basketball player to total 2,000 points, 700 assists and 300 steals in a career.
Aaryn Ellenberg
Ellenberg hit one 3-pointer and is two shy of matching OU's single season record of 88 set by Erin Higgins in 2005-06.
