NORMAN, Okla. - The 10th-ranked Oklahoma softball team got solid performances from several players as the Sooners (14-5) shutout 24th-ranked Auburn, 6-0, Friday evening at the OU Softball Complex. Dani Dobbs drove in two runs on a sixth-inning double and Keilani Ricketts struck out 11 as the Sooners got their second win over a ranked opponent this year.

The first three innings went scoreless before OU broke through in the bottom of the fourth. Brittany Williams walked to lead off the inning and scored on a Jessica Shults double to center. Shults later scored on a groundout double play to give the Sooners a 2-0 lead.

Oklahoma added a single run in the fifth after Dobbs reached after being hit by a pitch. A bunt single from Destinee Martinez moved Dobbs to third and a second walk to Williams loaded the bases. Dobbs then scored on a throwing error to push OU's lead to 3-0.

Ricketts started the sixth with a walk and moved to second on an illegal pitch. Chana'e Jones then walked and Dobbs' double plated the two runs to put OU up 5-0. Martinez then singled and moved to second on a wild pitch as Dobbs scored OU's final run of the night.

Dobbs ended the game 1-for-1 with two runs driven in and two runs scored in addition to the hit by pitch.  Martinez ended the night 2-for-3.

Jones went 1-for-2 with a walk and run scored. Williams drew a single-game best three walks on the night.
