Send the Sooners Off to the Sweet 16 Thursday

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooners leave Thursday for the Sweet 16 and the OU Athletics Department invites you to help send the team off to the NCAA Women's Basketball Regional Championship in Dayton, Ohio.
The OU women's basketball team will depart from the south tunnel of the Lloyd Noble Center at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to park in the lots south of the arena and gather with OU's band and spirit squads near the buses to cheer the team as it heads to a third consecutive regional semifinal appearance.
Oklahoma meets 2-seed Notre Dame at approximately 1:30 p.m. Central Saturday, March 26. The game will be televised on ESPNHD and webcast on ESPN3.com.
The Sooners outpaced a feisty James Madison squad to win in the first round and then upset 3-seed Miami with a brilliant 40-minute performance to advance.
