NORMAN, Okla. -- Two Oklahoma Sooners were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 Women's Basketball Team, announced the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday.

Danielle Robinson, a sociology senior, was named to the first team and will be eligible for Academic All-America consideration. Joanna McFarland, a biochemistry/chemistry sophomore, was voted to the second team.

Robinson leads the Sooners, averaging 19.5 points and 5.3 assists. The San Jose, Calif., native is on pace to become just the third top-level women's college basketball player to total 2,000 points, 700 assists and 300 steals in a career.

McFarland, a native of Derby, Kan., contributes 6.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Sooners next host Iowa State Saturday, Feb. 5, at 12:30 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports Net.

Danielle Robinson is a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award in women's basketball.
