BOULDER, Colo. -- Danielle Robinson's 17-point second half wasn't enough to help Oklahoma defeat Colorado for the ninth straight time in the final regular season meeting between the teams as Big 12 rivals.
Robinson reached 2,000 career points on a spine-twisting layup with 29.3 seconds to play, closing the game to a two-point margin, but OU's defensive pressure could not hold as it did during the Sooners' rally and Colorado kept the lead at bay at the free throw line.
Colorado never trailed after making the game's only lead change on a Britney Blythe 3 with 2:20 remaining in the first half. The Sooners were held without a field goal for the final 4:51 of the first period as a 5-point lead slipped to a 6-point halftime deficit.
OU and Colorado traded baskets for much of the second half until Carlee Roethlisberger hit a 3-pointer with 48 seconds to play to make the score 68-64. Defensive pressure forced a Brittany Spears' turnover and Robinson converted the opportunity into her milestone layup. It would be the closest OU would get to Colorado for the remainder of the game.
