A technical foul was administered to Ohio before the game. Whitney Hand made two free throws to give OU a 2-0 lead before tip-off.
Oklahoma scored 10 points before Ohio made a field goal. The Sooners out-shot the Bobcats in the first half 63 percent (22-of-35) to 41 percent (11-of-27).
Four Sooners – Sharane Campbell, Jelena Cerina, Morgan Hook and Joanna McFarland – scored in double figures, OU's highest total since seven tallied 10 or more in a 117-55 season-opening win over Sacramento State.
The Sooners will next play Syracuse, a 70-67 winner over Xavier, Monday at 4:30 p.m. Central.
Oklahoma's 39 bench points was its second highest total behind 43 scored in a 117-55 victory over Sacramento State on Nov. 13 and OU's highest total by percentage of total score (44 percent of 89 total points).
SHARANE CAMPBELL
Sharane Campbell was perfect from the field in the opening period, hitting six field goals and two free throws for 14 points, eclipsing a previous career high in just nine first-half minutes. Campbell finished the game with 19 points.
Campbell missed her first field goal attempt of the second half, ending a streak of 13 consecutive makes over the past four games.
JELENA CERINA
Cerina scored 10 points, the second best single-game total of her career, and had a career-high four blocks. She had just 10 total blocks through 27 games as a Sooner entering the contest.
AARYN ELLENBERG
Ellenberg continued her OU record streak of games making at least one 3-pointer, extending it to 28 consecutive.
NICOLE GRIFFIN
Griffin was 3-for-3 from the field, her third perfect field goal shooting performance of the season and the 10th in 38 career games played.
WHITNEY HAND
Hand matched a career high with seven assists. Hand has 40 assists through eight games this season with 20 coming in the last three games.
MORGAN HOOK
In addition to a season high 14 points, Hook totaled six assists to just one turnover.
JOANNA MCFARLAND
McFarland matched a career high with 14 points.
KAYLON WILLIAMS
The freshman was OU's first substitution into the game and totaled career bests with five points. She also totaled five rebounds in nine minutes played.
