NORMAN, Okla. -- The 11th-ranked Oklahoma wrestling team travels to Ames, Iowa, to take on the Iowa State Cyclones on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m.
Oklahoma (2-0, 1-0) opened the Big 12 season last Friday, Nov. 18, with a 19-18 victory over then-No. 9 ranked Missouri in Norman.
Three Sooners enter Sunday's dual with undefeated records. Jarrod Patterson (125 pounds) boasts a 6-0 record, while Kendric Maple (133) and Erich Schmidtke (184) are 5-0 on the year.
Last season, the Sooners ended an eight-match skid that dated back to 2003 after dominating then-No. 15 Iowa State, 33-7.

Six Sooners are ranked by InterMat, headlined by returning All-American Jarrod Patterson, ranked No. 4 at 125 pounds. Kendric Maple, a 2009-10 NCAA qualifier that redshirted last year, is ranked No. 8 at 141 pounds. Jordan Keller is No. 14 at 133 pounds, while Matt Lester (157 pounds) is ranked No. 12. Nick Lester is the 14th-ranked wrestler at 149 pounds and two-time NCAA Qualifier, Erich Schmidtke, rounds out ranked Sooners at No. 17 among 184 pounders.
Iowa State counters with six ranked wrestlers of their own heading into Sunday's showdown. The Cyclones are led by fifth-ranked Andrew Sorenson at 165 pounds. At 174 pounds Chris Spangler is ranked No. 10, while 125-pounder Ryak Finch is No. 12. ISU's Boaz Beard is No. 15 (184), Kyven Gadson (197) is No. 13 and heavyweight Matt Gibson checks in at No. 18.

SERIES RECORD VS. IOWA STATE
Iowa State leads the all-time series by a 48-34-3 margin. Last season, OU snapped an eight-match skid that dated back to 2003 after dominating then-No. 15 Iowa State, 33-7, in Ames.
Six current Sooners --Jarrod Patterson, Jordan Keller, Matt Lester, Chase Nelson, Erich Schmidtke and Keldrick Hall -- wrestled in last year's dual, but none will face the same opponent as last year.

SCOUTING IOWA STATE
The Cyclones are 0-4 in dual competition this year and are coming off a 29-9 loss to No. 2 Oklahoma State. In addition to the OSU loss, Iowa State dropped matches to Army, Boston and Old Dominion. Two ISU wrestlers, Ryak Finch and Andrew Sorenson, are 4-0 on the year. InterMat ranks ISU the 22nd-ranked team in the country.
RETURNING QUALIFIERS
OU returns seven NCAA qualifiers and adds another in transfer Bubby Graham. Highlighting the returning group is 2011 All-American Jarrod Patterson (125), who collected a 29-9 overall record last season.
Other returning starters that qualified for the NCAA Championships include Jordan Keller (133), Matt Lester (149 pounds), Chase Nelson (157) and Erich Schmidtke (184) and Kendric Maple, a 2009-10 NCAA qualifier that redshirted last year.
BUBBY A SOONER
OU adds another NCAA qualifier in American transfer Bubby Graham. The talented wrestler from Annapolis, Md., looks to anchor the 165 pound spot for the Sooners. Graham was a two year starter for the Eagles where he competed at 157 and 165 pounds.
