Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
Opening Comments:
"I appreciate UCO and the way they competed. I just thought they played really hard, played with a great sense of urgency and didn't look the least bit intimidated by us or this arena. Because of that we got better, they gave us a great challenge and they pushed us and exposed our areas of weakness and that gives us good film to go back and learn from and get better over the course of the week."

On the play of OU's point guards:
"Well, I think Morgan Hook was pretty good. You look at her line, she's 3-for-3 from the 3 and she has six rebounds, five assists and one turnover. That's a pretty good stat line. DaShawn (Harden) needed the minutes; DaShawn needed the exposure. She needed to see some things and she'll learn from that right now were keeping all sharp objects away from her in the locker room. But I thought Morgan was really good and just kind of controlled things and kind of got us in what we wanted to get in and really created some transition stuff late. I thought the final 10 minutes of the first half was our best basketball the whole night. I think we were a little dazed. The freshman just got completely lost and would stop and kind of look around and you don't have time to look around, you've got to keep playing your tail off like your hair is on fire and figure it out on the fly. Then I think when Lyndsey (Cloman) went down it was another shock. I think we had a hard time getting our focus back the way it's supposed to be and that's to be expected when a teammate goes down. We'll bounce back and we'll get better from it, but I thought Morgan's line was really good."

On how Hook's game different from Danielle Robinson:
"As fantastic as Danielle (Robinson) was, I don't know many times she had five assists and one turnover and there were lots of good things that she did but that wasn't her forte. I thought Morgan did a nice job of that, I thought she was a little shocked in the beginning with the full court pressure, we hadn't seen or done any of that and I thought as the game went on she got more and more comfortable and was very good. My thing with Morgan, she has got to guard better. She's got to stay in front of the basketball and give us some help on the backside. She knows she has to improve in that area, I'm great with where her offensive game is right now and its only going to get better. But she has to get better on the defensive end."

On the play of freshman Sharane Campbell:
"She'll go try to make a play. She'll go try to get a rebound and try to get to the free-throw line. She had the nice little lob in the inbounds play. She's just an athlete. You can see that explosion and she still doesn't have any idea what she's doing defensively. She's pretty good on the ball, not bad one pass away, but then you get her two or three passes away and all of a sudden her head starts spinning around but that will come. I just love her immersion in the game, I love how she wants to try to make something happen."

Oklahoma Junior Whitney Hand
On getting used to new players:
"I think it was more awkward than we expected it to be. Not awkward, but you miss that voice in the huddle. I guess I didn't realize how much Danielle (Robinson) said. That was different for me, especially during huddles and stuff. I was like, `oh yeah, I have to speak or somebody else has to speak.' We still shouldn't have turned it over 26 times. Those young guys will learn."

On impressions of her team's play:
"There wasn't enough effort. It was just like everyone was a little bit dazed, especially at the beginning. And then, we got tired and gave into the fatigue pretty easily. Defensively we were terrible at best. We have a lot of work left to do, but there are positives. We shot almost 50 percent from the three-point line and also from the field. It's not bad. We can score, we just have to play defense."

Expectations for the next game:
"I think just to play hard. I think just realize what we are capable of. I mean goodness; there are eight freshmen and sophomores. There are nerves. Its the first game in the big lights, lots of people -- not to make excuses. I want to see us just not care (about mistake), compete and play hard. The rest will take care of itself. We know that. We just have to go do it."

Oklahoma Sophomore Aaryn Ellenberg
On her experience without a veteran senior class:
"It's different. It's kind of like you don't have that person to look to anymore, like what do we do. It's like (the freshmen) are looking to us now."

On getting used to the play of the team's two new point guards:
"We've got a long ways to go, but they are working as best they can to really try and be in control of everyone and what we do and what they are supposed to do. It's going to take a time to let them get use to that. DaShawn (Harden) is more of a passer, she a little bit quicker. Morgan (Hook) is more smooth-paced and she can shoot the 3.
