• Oklahoma improved to 15-0 all time against Coppin State with a 92-65 victory. OU's 92 points marked its highest scoring performance since Nov. 26, 2009, when it fell to Houston, 100-93, in the Great Alaska Shootout. Tonight's 27-point win was the Sooners' largest margin of victory since defeating Texas Southern 82-52 exactly one year ago.
• The win marked OU's 28th straight at home against non-conference opponents and 87th in the last 89 such contests.
• OU outrebounded the Eagles 61-27. OU's 61 boards were its most in the Big 12 era (the league began play in the 1996-97 season). The Sooners' 28 offensive boards were one greater than Coppin State's total number of rebounds.
• Four Sooners collected at least eight rebounds. Romero Osby led the way with 10 and was followed by Casey Arent (nine) and Andrew Fitzgerald and C.J. Washington (eight each).
• The Sooners took full advantage of their offensive rebounding, outscoring the Eagles 28-9 on second-chance points.
• Osby recorded his second straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in only 22 minutes. The Mississippi State transfer has combined for 28 points and 20 rebounds in his first two games in an OU uniform.
• Guard Steven Pledger led the Sooners with 20 points in just 20 minutes of action in his season debut. The junior was 8-for-14 from the field, including 3-for-8 from behind the arc. Pledger also picked up a pair of rebounds and three assists without committing a turnover.
• Senior forward C.J. Washington, who did not play in OU's opener against Idaho State last week, contributed six points, eight rebounds and career-high three assists in 18 minutes. He was 3-for-4 from the field.
• After scoring a career-high 19 points in the season opener, guard Calvin Newell registered 14 points off the bench tonight. He was 6-for-12 from the field and 2-for-4 on 3-pointers in his 18 minutes of playing time. The Sooner bench outscored the Coppin State bench 43-28.
• OU held the Eagles to 20-for-55 shooting from the field (36.4%). Of Coppin State's 55 shots, 33 were taken from behind the arc. Thirteen of CSU's first 14 shots came from 3-point land, including its first 10.
• Coppin State's Akeem Ellis, who averaged 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in the Eagles' first two games, was held to no points, one rebound and no assists tonight in 16 minutes.
• No Sooner played more than 23 minutes on the night.
