NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma's tenth-ranked wrestling squad travels to Brockport, N.Y., in search of its 13th straight Brockport Open title on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Sooners (1-0) are coming off a 33-6 season opening win over NAIA's eighth-ranked Oklahoma City University.

"I'm really looking forward to this weekend," head coach Mark Cody said. "This is going to be a move forward for us because we get to see where we need to improve. I am particularly excited about my guys' being able to compete against, what I feel is going to be, some good competition. We have some tough competition ahead of us."

Joining Oklahoma in this year's field are American, Maryland, Rutgers, Army, Buffalo, Clarion and the College of Brockport. The tournament consists of seven Division I opponents, all which finished in the top 65 teams in the nation last season. American (No. 11), Maryland (No. 11) and Rutgers (No. 15) are each ranked in the top-15 of the NWCA/USA Today Coaches Poll.

Last season, Oklahoma claimed the team title with 145.5 points. Rutgers (124.5 points), Maryland (101.5), Clarion (95) and Buffalo (89) rounded out the top five.

Five Oklahoma wrestlers -- Jarrod Patterson, Zack Bailey, Matt Lester, Tyler Caldwell and Jeff James -- claimed individual crowns at 125, 141, 157, 165 and 174 pounds, respectively. Jordan Keller (133 pounds) and Keldrick Hall (197) each earned silver medals.

The 13th annual Brockport Invitational Wrestling Tournament will be held at the Tuttle North Gymnasium on the college of Brockport campus.
