Men's Basketball to Hold Oct. 16 Hoops Jam

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma men's basketball fans will get their first look at the 2011-12 Sooners on the hardwood when the team hosts its "Hoops Jam 2011" event on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at Lloyd Noble Center.

Sponsored by Arvest Bank and free to the public, "Hoops Jam 2011" will feature 60 minutes of team drills and scrimmaging, as well as several on-court fan contests with great Sooner hoops prizes.

At approximately 7 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to meet head coach Lon Kruger and his team, and collect autographs during a 30-minute informal meet-and-greet session. 

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Hoops Jam t-shirt and a men's basketball team poster.  Doors will open at 5 p.m.
