NORMAN, Okla. -- Jake Smith and Drew Harrison keyed the offense during the Red's 10-5 win in seven innings over White on Monday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The intrasquad game was the first of five in the annual Red-White Series, which marks the end of fall practices for the baseball team.

The Sooners released the 2012 schedule on Monday, which features 30 home games at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

Smith finished with three hits and three RBI and Harrison drove in a bases-clearing double in the fifth that broke a 3-3 tie. Smith got the offense rolling with a two-run triple to the gap in left center in the second inning and capped off the scoring with a RBI double in the seventh inning.

For the White team, junior Max White had a game-high four RBI, while senior Tanner Toal had a three-run double in the second inning that resulted in a short-lived lead.

"I thought some guys really swung the bat well today," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "Jake (Smith) and Drew (Harrison) really got things started behind a nice relief appearance by Cale (Coshow)."

Coshow (1-0) relieved Red starter Steven Okert in the second inning and tossed four solid relief innings. Coshow allowed two runs, but held the opposition scoreless in the third, fourth and fifth innings and finished with four strikeouts.

Both starters, Okert and Dillon Overton (White), were on a pitch count and did not last past the second inning. Clint Cooper followed Coshow with the final four outs and one hit allowed, while the White team rolled out four relievers, including Jacob Rhame (0-1), who was charged with the loss after fiving up three runs off four hits in 2 1/3 innings.

Game two's pitching matchup will feature a pair of newcomers in sophomore right hander Jonathan Gray (Red) and junior right hander Damien Magnifico (White).

Gray and Magnifico are two of the 23 newcomers on the fall roster. The recruiting class that was ranked No. 4 in the nation by Collegiate Baseball and No. 13 by Baseball America. Gray was selected in the 10th round by the New York Yankees in the 2011 MLB Draft while Magnifico was taken in the fifth round of the 2009 draft by the New York Mets.

The contests in the best-of-five set are free and open to the public at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The remainder of the schedule for the series is as follows, all dates and times are subject to change:
