Mihov Advances to OU Invitational Finals

NORMAN, Okla. – Sophomore Tsvetan Mihov advanced to the finals of the OU Invitational Saturday at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman and will face Oklahoma State's Rifat Biktyakov on Sunday in the finals.

The Bulgaria native, Mihov, began the day with a win over the Cowboy's Chris Haworth, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4, and defeated fellow Sooner Dane Webb in the semifinals to move onto the finals.

Webb, a freshman from Dallas, Texas, collected a win in quarterfinals over OSU's Maniel Bains, 6-1, 7-5.

In doubles, Webb and Mihov downed Tulsa's Tristan Jackson and Ashley Watling via default. Guillermo Alcorta and Lawrence Formentera had to withdraw in their match against OSU's Bondarenko and Biktyakov.

The OU Invitational concludes Sunday with the semifinals of the doubles draw along with the championship matches for both doubles and singles.
