Oklahoma's win ties the overall series with Texas Tech, 21-21.  The Sooners have won the past 11 consecutive meetings with Texas Tech.

The Sooners also started conference play 4-0 in 2002, 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2009 – five of the six years they claimed at least a share of the conference title.

It is Oklahoma's first win over a ranked team in 2010-11.  Texas Tech was No. 25 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll that released Tuesday and is just the second ranked opponent Oklahoma has played.  Texas Tech was receiving votes (totaling just outside the Top 25 in 26th) in Monday's Associated Press Poll. The Sooners lost to then-No. 6 Ohio State, 95-84, in Columbus on Dec. 5.

OU improved its home record to 11-0 and has a home winning streak of 14 games.

With the win, the senior class set a program record for home wins in a four-year span. The 2011 seniors now have 51 home wins in 57 games (50 of 56 at the Lloyd Noble Center), breaking a tie with the 2010 seniors for total wins.

Oklahoma has not allowed a Big 12 opponent to make more field goals than turnovers.  Texas Tech had 25 turnovers and 23 field goals made. OU allowed just 77 field goals and forced 86 turnovers in four previous conference games.

For the third straight game, Oklahoma won with a field goal percentage of .322 or less – the three worst shooting performances in wins under Sherri Coale.   OU's win against Kansas State (Jan. 12) also saw a .322 shooting percentage (19-of-59) and the Sooners defeated Texas despite having only a .303 field goal percentage.

Danielle Robinson scored 16 points for the 102nd double-figure scoring game of her career, matching Phylesha Whaley (1997-2002) for fourth all-time at Oklahoma.  Robinson has scored 10 or more in every game this season.

Whitney Hand missed 12 consecutive 3-pointers (0-for-11 last two games) before hitting her first two in Wednesday's game.
