Jan. 18, 2011

• Oklahoma shot 56.0 percent in the second half and turned 20 Texas Tech turnovers into 18 points in an 83-74 home win.  The Sooners improved to 9-9 overall and to 1-3 in Big 12 play.  They are 9-1 at home this year.

• OU has won 40 times in its last 41 home games against unranked (AP poll) opponents.  The only loss during those 41 games came last year to Texas Tech (72-71).

• For the first time this season, all five OU starters scored in double figures.  They accounted for 81 of OU's season-high 83 points.

• Cade Davis' 25 points tied a career high and marked a season high.  One game after being held to three points at Texas, the senior guard was 7-for-12 from the field, 4-for-8 from 3-point range and 7-for-8 from the free throw line.  He also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in 32 minutes of action.  Davis has surpassed 20 points four times this season, but tonight was the first time he did it since Nov. 24 against Chaminade (span of 12 games).

• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald finished with 20 points, five rebounds, two assists, three blocks and three steals.  He was 7-for-12 from the floor and hit all six of his free throw attempts.  Fitzgerald has scored in double figures 14 times in OU's 18 games and has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in 13 contests.  Over the last 12 games, he is shooting 82 percent from the foul line.  This was Fitzgerald's fourth time this year to score at least 20 points.

• After starting 1-for-8 from the field in the second half, the Sooners made 13 of their final 17 shots (76 percent).

• Oklahoma's 29 free throw makes and 34 attempts both marked season highs.  The Sooners made 17 of their final 18 attempts, including 13 in a row over the game's last 1:50.

• Texas Tech's 20 turnovers matched an OU opponent season high (North Carolina Central also committed 20 in the second game of the season, which went to overtime).  The Sooners committed 17 turnovers, their most in Big 12 play.

• The Red Raiders posted a 37-31 rebounding advantage and scored 21 second-chance points off 16 offensive rebounds.

• Sophomore guard Steven Pledger, who was scoreless Saturday at Texas, recorded 14 points, three assists and two blocks this evening.  He has scored at least 13 points seven times in OU's nine wins.

• Sophomore point guard Carl Blair went 9-for-11 at the foul line and contributed 11 points, a team-high five assists and three steals.

• Freshman guard Cameron Clark contributed 11 points and six rebounds in 38 minutes without a turnover.  He is averaging less than a turnover per game on the season.

• Oklahoma improved to a 30-18 all-time against Texas Tech and to 18-6 in Norman.

• The Sooners are home again Saturday when they host Colorado at 12:30 p.m. CT.
