OU Cheerleaders Offer Junior Spirit Sessions

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Cheerleaders are offering OU Junior Spirit Sessions this year. The program will provide academic year-long instruction in cheerleading, as well as performance opportunities for students in grades one through six.
Registration and uniform fitting for session one is this Saturday, Aug. 21 at McCasland Fieldhouse from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.
The classes will be offered one day per week in six-week sessions. A one-hour class will cost $70 per student, per session. In addition, participants will purchase an official OU Junior Spirit uniform to wear for all performances.
Students will perform at events for OU soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's Gymnastics, softball and baseball. Parents will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to each of those events in advance at the group ticket price.
All performance dates and ticketing information will be provided at the first meeting of each six week session.
Lori Kemmet, OU Spirit Coordinator, said "This is an all-star cheerleading opportunity for sideline cheerleaders. These kids will get training from OU cheerleaders, their own custom OU uniform, and game experience leading some of the great Sooner traditions".
