NORMAN, Okla. -- Fresh off a gold-medal-winning coaching performance at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in San Antonio, Texas, OU head men's basketball coach Jeff Capel caught an early morning flight back to Oklahoma Thursday for the opening day of his inaugural fantasy camp.

For the past two-plus weeks, Capel served as head coach of a U.S. team that finished 5-0 and beat Brazil by an 81-78 score Wednesday in the gold medal game.  His squad breezed through the first four games by an average margin of 50 points, but had to battle back from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit to claim gold against the Brazilians.

Capel met with media today to discuss his USA Basketball experience and to talk about his fantasy camp.  The camp, for men over the age of 30, features several former Sooner greats serving as coaches.  Names include Alvan Adams, Kevin Bookout, Terry Evans, Harvey Grant, Blake Griffin, Skeeter Henry, Darryl "Choo" Kennedy, John McCullough, Hollis Price and Terry Stotts, among others.  Former OU head coach Billy Tubbs is serving as camp co-commissioner with Capel.  Click the video box above for the interview.

Also featured are interviews with Adams and Price, as well as video from the fantasy camp's player evaluation period in which the former OU players scouted the camp participants.  A four-team draft was held Thursday night with Adams, Grant, Griffin and Stotts serving as the head coaches.  The other former players are associate coaches.

The camp is for men over the age of 30 and runs through Sunday.
