Arkansas-Little Rock (22-22) took the game's initial lead after plating five runs in the second, but OU countered with 14 unanswered runs. The come from behind win was the Sooners' 18th on the season.
"Our offense has really come alive and that's because of Ross Hubbard, that's because of Max White," said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. "I like the way we're attacking right now. I like the tone that we're setting. We're feeding off each other."
After scoring two runs in the second inning, OU batted around for the 19th time in 2010 in the third and plated six runs while never looking back.
The offense has been on a tear in the last six games posting 76 combined runs with double-digit performances in all but one contest. The Sooners have also had 10 or more hits in each of the contests after tagging the Trojans (22-22) for 16 on Tuesday night.
Garrett Buechele and Cameron Seitzer each connected for their 10th home runs of the year and were two of six Sooners to record multiple-hit games. Ross Hubbard, who also homered and had three RBI, and Max White (RBI) led the way with three hits apiece.
The Sooners hope to carry that same offensive momentum into the Bedlam Series this weekend.
"Bedlam is important but you can't look past games like this," said senior captain Ross Hubbard after his career-high three hits on Tuesday. "We want to go into Bedlam hot."
Michael Rocha improved to 6-1 with three innings of relief. Rocha was the second Sooner reliever after Ryan Gibson's start lasted 1 2/3 innings. Rocha allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out four. Each of the five relievers used on Tuesday did not allow a run.
Buechele extended his hitting streak to a career-best 17 games with a double in the third while driving in four runs on the night. In the 17 games, Buechele is hitting .405 (30-for-74) with seven doubles and four home runs.
Trojan reliever Sean Potter dropped to 0-1 after surrendering six runs off six hits in two innings of work.
OU returns to Big 12 play in the Bedlam Series, presented by Oklahoma Farm Bureau and the Oklahoman. Game one in Tulsa at OneOK Field is set for 7:30 p.m. Games two and three will be played at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City on Saturday (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday (4:05 p.m.).
"I like where we are at right now," said Golloway. "We have to work hard and make sure we are strong going into the weekend and have some sharp practices."
