NORMAN, Okla. -- The NCAA Tournament 64-team field was announced on Monday and the University of Oklahoma baseball team will host its third NCAA Regional in the last five years against No. 2 Cal, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 4 Oral Roberts.

The No. 1 seeded Sooners (44-15) will meet Oral Roberts (35-25) in the first round on Friday, June 4 at L. Dale Mitchell Park at 1 p.m. The second game on Friday will feature the Bears and Tar Heels at 7 p.m.

The winner between Oklahoma and Oral Roberts will face the Cal-North Carolina winner on Saturday at 7 p.m., while the first-game will feature the losers' bracket at 1 p.m. on Saturday. All times are subject to change.

“After seeing the draw for our Norman Regional, we are going to have a great field when you think about the teams that are coming in here,” said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway. “I think we have an outstanding field and we are looking forward to competing.”

Each of the four-team, double-elimination regionals will be played June 4-7. The winners of each regional will advance to the Super Regional round June 11-14.

The winner of the Norman, Okla., Regional advances to meet the winner of the Charlottesville, Va., Regional in NCAA Super Regional action.  The four teams at Charlottesville are Virginia, Ole Miss, St. John's and VCU.  The sites of the next round will be announced on June 7 at 10 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.

No. 11 Oklahoma has won nine out of the last 10 games and finished the season strong to make the program's 33rd NCAA tournament appearance.

“The most impressive thing, I think, for us going into this is we have won nine out of our last 10 games,” said Golloway.  “We clearly have to be playing pretty good baseball and we've played that against really good competition in our league so we will go into our regional first game with a lot of confidence and have high expectations to win, play hard and represent the University of Oklahoma in a first class manner.”

The eight winners of the Super Regionals will play in the College World Series, beginning June 13 at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.

Along with Oklahoma, Texas earned the No. 2 national seed and those two host schools will be joined by three other Big 12 schools (Texas A&M, Baylor and Kansas State) in the field.
