ATHENS, Ga. -- Oklahoma's Andrei Daescu and Costin Paval fell to Stanford's Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher in the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Doubles Championships, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus.

The Sooner duo, ranked No. 18, dropped the first set, 6-2, to Stanford's No. 4-ranked tandem. In the second set Daescu and Paval stretched it out, taking it to a tiebreaker set. However, the pair ultimately fell 7-6(9).

Daescu and Paval (14-7) replicated that of the team in postseason play. The20th-ranked Sooners also advanced to the Elite Eight before falling to No. 11 Georgia.

Daescu, a senior from Bucharest, Romania, competed in his final match as a Sooner where he went 45-43 in singles and 65-29 in doubles. Daescu ends his career with a host of accolades including: 3-time NCAA Championships participant, runner-up at the2009 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championship and a top 16 finish at the2009 ITA Indoor Championships.
