A LOOK AT OKLAHOMA AS A TEAM
• Oklahoma is 43-10 overall on the year, marking the 17th consecutive season OU has reached the plateau.
• OU's pitching staff has a league-best 1.45 earned run average, a mark that is fourth best in the nation.
• Sooner pitchers hold opponents to a .178 batting average and have posted 22 combined shutouts.
• Oklahoma finished second in the Big 12 regular season standings.
A LOOK AT OKLAHOMA INDIVIDUALLY
• Keilani Ricketts was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2010 Big 12 Championship.
• Amber Flores, Lindsey Vandever and Jessica Shults were named to the all-tournament team.
• Haley Nix hit a walk-off three run home run to put the run rule in effect against Missouri on May 16. It was her 10th home run of the season.
• Shults holds the Oklahoma freshman record for home runs (14) and runs batted in (61) in a season.
• Shults leads the Big 12 in total runs batted in (61) and ranks first with a 1.13 per game average.
• Shults' 61 RBI are tied for fourth most in a single season at Oklahoma and rank as the ninth best in a single season in the Big 12.
• Ricketts' 297 strikeouts this season are the third-most in a single season by an OU pitcher.
• She needs 10 more to move into a tie for second (307 by Jill Most, 1997). Most also holds the single season record (356 in 1996).
• Ricketts struck out 35 of the 77 batters she faced in the Big 12 Championship and recorded a 0.35 earned run average.
• Ricketts is second in the Big 12 with a 1.29 earned run average and first in shutouts (11).
• Flores was named the 2010 Big 12 Player of the Year, becoming the first player in league history to win the honor twice (2009).
• Flores is OU's career leader in home runs (53). The mark is four shy of tying the Big 12 career record.
• She leads OU offensively in batting average (.371), slugging (.692) and on-base percentage (.543).
• Flores leads the Big 12 in runs scored (60), a 1.13 per game average.
• Ten Sooners have drawn double-digit walks this season, including five with 20 or more.
• Vandever has just one error at catcher this season.
• Vandever was named the 2010 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, the third Sooner to earn the award.

OKLAHOMA IN THE NCAA REGIONALS
• Oklahoma earned the automatic qualification from the Big 12 Conference with a 9-0 six inning win over Missouri on May 16.
• OU is making its 17th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Sooners have been every year of the Patty Gasso era.
• The Sooners are 40-16 all-time in NCAA Regional games.
• Oklahoma owns eight regional titles - 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
A LOOK AT OKLAHOMA'S OPPONENTS
• Oklahoma faces Syracuse it its opening round game. The Orange won the BIG EAST Championship to earn an automatic berth.
• SU is the only team in the regional the Sooners have previously faced. OU defeated the Orange 3-0 on March 18, 2005 in Fullerton, Calif.
• Syracuse enters the contest 32-24 on the year and is making its first ever appearance in the NCAA Championship.
• Fordham earned an at-large bid and is the No. 2 seed in the College Park Regional. The Rams are 47-10 on the year.
• The Rams are making their first appearance in the NCAA Championship.
• Rams ace Jen Mineau is sixth in the nation in earned run average with a 1.04 mark.
• Host Maryland finished sixth in the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season standings and is 33-21 on the year.
• Terrapin assistant coach Courtney Scott was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma in 2007 and 2008.
