Four Wrestlers Place at University Nationals

AKRON, Ohio – Four University of Oklahoma wrestlers gained top-eight finishes at the 2010 ASICS University Nationals last weekend. True-freshman Matt Lester paced the Sooners, earning the silver medal at 66 kg.

Competing in the freestyle division, freshman Nick Lester took home fifth at 66 kg, Greg Cannon earned sixth at 55 kg and Seth Vernon placed seventh at 70 kg.

Also on the mat for the Sooners in Ohio were Justin Forrest (60 kg), Jordan Keller (63), Dillon Dennis (66), Clay Reeb (70), Richard Immel (70), Kyle Detmer (74), Marcus Armato (79), Nolan McBryde (79), Ben Bridell (84) and Erich Schmidtke (84).
