COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad continued its run of strong play with a fourth-place finish at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday.  The Sooners shot a final-round 289 (+5) and closed the event with a 54-hole tally of 877 (+25) en route to their fourth top-five finish in the last five outings.

OU was the only squad in the 11-team field to improve its standing on the leaderboard in all three rounds.  Sunday's final round marked Oklahoma's lowest round of the event after opening the tournament with scores of 295 and 293.

Eastern Michigan won the event with a final tally of 861 (+9), two shots clear of runner-up Penn State. 

Leading the Oklahoma charge was senior Ben Blundell (73-71-72).  The Rowlett, Texas, native recorded his second straight top-10 finish with a share of seventh place at 216 (+3). 

Bunched together within two shots of each other were Riley Pumphrey (74-71-76), Liam Logan (75-73-74) and Ryan Sirman (73-79-71).  The OU trio all placed in the top 30, with Pumphrey tied for 17th at +8.  Logan shared 21st with a 54-hole score of 222 (+9), while Sirman was a stroke back in 28th.

Rounding out the Oklahoma team scoring was Tyler Rody (78-78-72) in a tie for 44th at 228 (+15). 

Penn State's Kevin Foley took home medalist honors after rounds of 69, 68 and 68 at the par-71, 7,451-yard Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University.

The Sooners now turn their attention towards the postseason with the Big 12 Championship on tap in Trinity, Texas, April 23-25.
