GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Oklahoma men's golf squad closed the 2010 Linger Longer Invitational in 10th place after posting its lowest round of the 54-hole event with a 4-over-par 292 on Sunday.  The Sooners climbed a spot up the leaderboard with their strong play, closing the event at +42 (906). 

After struggling to a 315 (+27) in the first round, OU played its last 36 holes at 15-over, sixth-best in the 16-team field.

Liam Logan (76-70-74) posted his third top-25 finish of the season, leading the Sooners in a share of 15th at 220 (+4). 

Riley Pumphrey (81-73-74) and Ben Blundell (80-78-70) both finished at 12-over in a tie for 44th. 

Rounding out the OU team scoring were Tyler Rody (78-78-74) and Ben Klaus (82-79-80).  Rody placed T50th, while Klaus shared 81st. 

Top-ranked Oklahoma State (+1) won the event by two shots over Alabama.  The Crimson Tide's Bud Cauley led wire-to-wire in the medalist race, capping off the win with a 5-under-par 67 on Sunday for a six-shot win.

Oklahoma returns to action at the Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz., on April 5-6.
