GREENSBORO, Ga. – The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad carded a 16-shot improvement over its first round score, jumping to 11th on Saturday after a second-round 299 (+11) at the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.

OU's second round was sixth lowest of any squad in the 16-team field, which includes seven squads ranked in the latest Golfweek top 25.  The Sooners head to Sunday's final round with a 36-hole team score of 614 (+38). 

Liam Logan reached red figures with a 2-under-par 70 to pace the Sooners.  Logan (76-70) currently stands T8th at +4. 
Riley Pumphrey (T46th) rebounded from a tournament-opening 81 with a 73 on Saturday.  Two shots behind Pumphrey was Tyler Rody who carded his second consecutive 78 and stands in a share of 52nd at 156 (+12). 

Rounding out the Oklahoma team scoring were Ben Blundell (80-78) and Ben Klaus (82-79).  Blundell stands T68th, while Klaus is in 80th. 

No. 1 Oklahoma State holds a five-stroke lead in the team standings over Alabama, while the Crimson Tide's Bud Cauley leads the medalist race by three strokes.
