Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
“I was really proud of the way we came out and paid attention to the task at hand. We played together well and did a lot of good things. We did lose focus a bit in the second half and we weren't pleased about that but it was nice to get a win at home.

“Some guys got some significant playing time, which will help us on down the road and others got some rest, which will help us on Monday. We asked a lot out of everybody. We had enough firepower early on in the game to have a cushion and distance ourselves.”

On the second half:
“We put it out of reach in the first half and coasted in the second half and we cannot do that no matter who we have on the floor. We have to keep them off the boards and limit their rebounds and we had too many turnovers.

On the Oklahoma guard Jasmine Hartman:
“I thought Jasmine established a defensive mindset. She was really bothering the opposition with her athleticism and she takes pride in that. She likes to go up and pressure the ball and disrupt what they were trying to do offensively.”

Oklahoma junior guard Danielle Robinson
On overall game performance:
“I think our start was huge. That's been something we've been struggling with all season. We showed some maturity, and everybody really. Coach told us it couldn't just be the starters. It couldn't be just six or seven people, but all 11.”

On playing Connecticut on Monday:
“I'm definitely excited about it since I know a couple of the players. I spent the summer with them (with Team USA playing in the World University Games). But I remember we played so well at their place last year, and they played so much better. So I'm definitely looking forward to having them on our home floor.”

Oklahoma senior forward Amanda Thompson
On playing with the backup players in the second half:
“It was just the opportunity to play with players I don't get the opportunity to play with during game time, at least. It was good to dissect the game a little bit and learn, not just from starters but from everyone playing the game.

On playing Connecticut Monday:
“It's one of those games you always look at on your schedule -- the one that sticks out. So I've been looking forward all year just to have the opportunity to have a chance to beat them and break their record.”

Colorado Head Coach Kathy McConnell-Miller
On the game:
“We've gotten off to a bad start the last three games; just very ineffective. OU came out and completely attacked, controlled the tempo. Very successful with their defensive strategy and philosophy and led to too many fast break points for us. We just struggled out of the gate and started to lose confidence and went to the bench where I felt like we got a little more settled. Didn't guard them and our men very well; made the adjustment and went zone. They came off the bench with some players that are a little more effective in the zone. But I thought that the last 30 minutes we battled, finished the game and had a mentality that we need to have coming out of the gate.”

On junior forward Brittany Spears:
“Spears is consistent throughout the year. She's probably not scoring as many points for us in the past, particularly in the Big 12, but tonight was probably her best Big 12 game. Just overall performance, overall forward game started off really slow. I was really proud of the fact that she fought through adversity, played for 38 minutes, and played a solid game on both ends of the floor.”

On freshman Chucky Jeffery's impact as a starter:
“She can do it. I will tell you that Danielle Robinson is solid on both ends of the floor. Not just her skill level, but her composure and her leadership. We do a lot of edits of WNBA players, NBA players, and we show Chucky and we some of some of our other younger players. Before the game, watching just about every Oklahoma game, I had said to my staff that for Chucky we should do an edit of Danielle Robinson. She doesn't do anything outside of what she does well. She doesn't take a lot of chances, and what I mean by that is she doesn't shoot the 3 ball extremely well; so therefore, she plays to her strengths. She's a good leader. She draws the defense, she finds the open player, she's good on ball pressure, and whenever she's on the floor, the floor players truly respond to her.

"So Chucky, if I was to do an edit of any guard that we played this year, it would be of Danielle. That would be one I would show Chucky. If she can see the progression from Danielle from her freshman year and what she did in her contributions, they were more of a floor game than a scorer and now what she does. Particularly for her and Megan Malcolm-Peck, there's no reason why Megan Malcolm-Peck can't do what Carlee Roethlisberger does for OU. So I think this is a good example of what experience can do.”
