NORMAN, Okla. -- The OU baseball team started team practices over the weekend in preparation for the 2010 season.
Throughout the fall sessions and into the new year, SoonerSports.com has helped fans get to know the numerous new faces around the diamond at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Each spotlight has included an updated bio, Q&A session and videos of each player in action from the Red/White Series and a scouting report from OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway.
The 19th and final installment focuses on freshman infielder Max White from Durant, Okla. Projected as a third baseman, White led the area as a senior with a .576 batting average en route to first team all-state honors.
He also had 16 home runs, 67 RBIs, 58 runs scored, 35 stolen bases and nine triples as a senior, while recording an 8-4 mark on the mound with a 1.13 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 67.2 innings. In 2009, he was named MaxPreps Baseball All-American (Medium Schools).
