Postgame Notes

• Oklahoma was outscored 28-9 in points off turnovers in an 84-74 defeat at Arkansas. OU fell to 3-4 on the year while Arkansas improved to 4-1.  It was just Arkansas' second win in the last eight meetings in the series.
 
• OU committed 15 of its 22 turnovers in the second half, including one on each of its first four possessions after halftime. 
 
• The Sooners, who trailed 43-37 at halftime, fell behind by 17 (66-49) with 10:37 remaining before rallying to cut the margin to just seven on three occasions in the final 3:40.
 
• Oklahoma lost despite posting a commanding 42-23 rebounding advantage.  The Sooners had just five fewer offensive rebounds (18) than Arkansas had total boards.
 
• The Razorbacks held a major advantage at the free throw line, knocking down 23 of their 26 foul shots (.885).  OU was 9-for-12 (.750) at the line.
 
• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald recorded his second career double-double with 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.  He was 7-for-14 from the field and pulled down eight offensive boards in his 37 minutes.  Fitzgerald has shot at least 50 percent from the field in six of seven games this year.
 
• Freshman guard Calvin Newell played 32 minutes off the bench and finished with career highs of 15 points, five rebounds and six assists.  He was 6-for-11 from the floor.
 
• Junior forward Nick Thompson finished with a career-high 13 points and added six boards.  He was 3-for-6 from behind the 3-point arc.
 
• Senior guard Cade Davis contributed nine points (3-for-8 field goal shooting), four rebounds, four assists and a career-high three blocked shots in 38 minutes.
 
• The Arkansas backcourt tandem of Rotnei Clarke (20) and Jeff Peterson (15) combined for 35 points on 10-for-17 shooting.  Clarke was 3-for-5 from long range.
 
• The Sooners took four charges tonight (two by Davis, one by Fitzgerald and one by Clark).
