Norman, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma rowing team travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. for its last regatta of fall, The Head of the Hooch, this weekend. Oklahoma fields 16 boats over the two-day event against teams such as Clemson, UCF, Tennessee and Texas.

"We're looking forward to some great racing in Tennessee,” Head Coach Leeanne Crain said. “This regatta draws teams from all the major conferences in the southeast, so we'll get a glimpse at which programs have early speed."

Head of the Hooch Notes

The Sooners open competition with two boats in the college and club novice eight at 10:00 a.m. CT. The novice four sends one boat to the event at 10:40 a.m.

The varsity team takes to the water later that day, sending three boats to the championship eight at 11:29 a.m. and four boats to the championship four at 4:04 p.m.

Open singles and pairs compete on Sunday, with two single boats at 8:22 a.m. and four doubles at 9:33 a.m.
