NORMAN, Okla. – After rain and lighting washed out play in Tuesday's final round, the University of Oklahoma men's golf team finished in seventh place at the 12-team Royal Oaks Intercollegiate at the par-71 Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas.

"We didn't get a chance to finish today due to inclement weather, and I really think we had a chance to make a move today considering our guys were ready to play in terrible conditions," said coach Ryan Hybl.

The 50th-ranked Sooners finished the shortened tournament with a 36-hole total of 570 (+2).

Oklahoma finished 19 strokes behind first-place Iowa, who collected their fourth consecutive first-place finish of the fall season after firing a 551 (-17).

The Hawkeyes were followed by Texas A&M at 556 (-12) and Arkansas at 264 (-4). Iowa senior Vince India took home the individual crown after shooting a 132 (-10).

The Sooners were led by senior Liam Logan at a one-under 141. The senior shot a first-round 72 (+1) and carded a second-round 69 (-2) after recording an eagle on the 18th hole. Logan finished in a tie for 16th place out of 72 individuals.

Sophomore Abraham Ancer and junior Riley Pumphrey tied for 23rd place after each shooting one-over 143.

Senior Ryan Sirman shot a 145 (+3) to finish in a tie for 34th while sophomore Will Kropp tied for 47th with a 148 (+6).

Freshman Eduardo Castiello, who competed individually for the Sooners, tied for 62nd place after shooting a 151 (+8).

The Sooners will conclude their fall season Nov. 8-10 at the CordeValle Invitational in San Martin, Calif.

"We will take the positives from the week and try to build on them going into California next week," said Hybl.
