OU Students: Watch Basketball, Win Prizes

NORMAN, Okla. -- OU students can save on gas, food and tuition just by attending Sooner women's basketball games.

With the 2010-11 regular season home opener tipping off Friday at 7 p.m., head women's basketball coach Sherri Coale and OU Athletics Department announced that seven select home games will be designated as the OU Student Attendance Challenge. OU students who attend all seven home games of the challenge will be entered into a drawing to win five $1,000 OU tuition prizes. The winners will be announced on SoonerSports.com following the completion of the regular season.

The student attendance challenge is open to any currently enrolled OU student. Admission to women's basketball games is free to OU students who present a valid ID.

Additionally, OU students will be eligible to win prizes and food throughout each game, such as those listed below.

Friday, Nov. 19 vs. Western Illinois
First 500 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Monday, Nov. 22 vs. Fresno State
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Wednesday, Dec. 1 vs. Sam Houston State
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Wednesday, Dec. 8 vs. Stephen F. Austin
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Wednesday, Jan. 19 vs. Texas Tech
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Wednesday, Jan. 26 vs. Texas A&M
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card

Wednesday, March 2 vs. Oklahoma State
First 500 students will receive a FREE OU Women's Basketball T-Shirt
First 100 OU students in attendance will receive a FREE hot dog and small Coke
One lucky student will win $100 gas card
