NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Communications Office and Sooner Sports Properties announced the Sooner baseball team's 2010 radio and internet broadcast schedule on Wednesday.
The season marks the first with KREF 1400 AM serving as the flagship station of Sooner baseball and the new partnership provides expanded coverage for OU fans to listen to 50-plus regular season games over the air.
Additionally, 22 of the games are set to be carried on the Sooners Sports' Network, enabling fans to listen to OU baseball on the radio state wide, nearly double the amount from previous seasons. The state-wide coverage begins on April 1 against Texas and will continue for each of the games in Big 12 play.
The entire 56-game regular season schedule will be broadcast live on the internet via Oklahoma All-Access, OU's premium content site.
The first opportunity to hear Oklahoma baseball live on KREF 1400 AM falls on Friday, Feb. 19 as the Sooners open up a four-game series at San Diego State.
OU returns 17 letterwinners from last year's NCAA Tournament squad that finished 43-20 overall. The Sooners begin the season ranked No. 25 in Collegiate Baseball's preseason poll.
Sooner Alumnus Chuck Kelly enters his sixth year calling the play-by-play for the OU baseball team in 2010. Kelly will once again be joined by former Sooner hurler DeWayne Vaughn (1978-1981) for the call on the Sooners' 28 home games.
In addition to all of the KREF broadcasts being available through Oklahoma All-Access, a majority of the home games can be seen with over a web cast on the premium site.
