NORMAN, Okla. -- Not often does a student-athlete join a team during the middle of the season. That's exactly what Kodi Morrison has done with the Oklahoma women's basketball team, however.

For the freshman from Seminole, Okla., it didn't matter how or when it happened. The simple possibility was a dream in and of itself.

The state's Class B Player of the Year in 2009, just a season ago Morrison was leading Varnum High School to its first state championship. It was easily her greatest basketball memory.

That is... until now.

You see, Morrison came to OU with a dream of playing for the Sooners. Through her first semester, however, she was just a regular student going to class and adjusting to the rigors of being on her own for the first time.

Then came the phone call from Coach Coale, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Or in Morrison's case, it is just the beginning of a dream come true.
