Rowers Earn Academic Honors

NORMAN, Okla.--University of Oklahoma rowers Teddi Dwyer and Chelsea Moore were named 2009 National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.
To be selected as scholar-athletes Dwyer and Moore had to maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for her career. Dwyer is a multidisciplinary studies major and Moore is a public relations major. Both were on the Big 12 Commissioners' Honor Roll for the fall 2008 semester.
During the season Dwyer and Moore competed as varsity rowers. Their most notable wins were regular season victories over Iowa, UCF, University of San Diego and San Diego State, a win at the Big 12 Championship and an appearance in the Grand Finals at the NCAA South/Central Regionals, all in varsity four competitions.
