Weather Cancels Saturday's Baseball Clinic

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma baseball team's clinic on Saturday, May 16 has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the Norman area.

The event was scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to noon at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

All clinic participants, their friends and families are invited to attend one of Oklahoma's games this weekend versus Texas A&M. The games are slated for Friday, May 15th at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 17th at 1:00 p.m.

Friday is Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Day, The first 1,000 fans will receive a free set of OU Baseball Trading Cards, and a special pre-game presentation will honor Mitchell Whitaker, a special friend of the OU Baseball Team. Power Roofing will present a check to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Mitchell - $50 for each home run the Sooners have hit this season. There will be fireworks following OU scores.

Saturday is Pack the Park Night and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free OU Baseball T-shirt. There will be fireworks following OU scores, and the Sooners will sign autographs following the game (weather permitting).

Sunday is Kids Day at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Kids are invited to run the bases and play catch in the outfield following the game (weather permitting).

Discounted tickets for groups of ten or more people are available for just $4 each (with one $5 processing fee on the order) and can be ordered by calling Tim George at (405) 325-8448. The $4 ticket price is $1 off the regular youth price and $4 off the regular adult price.
