Golfers Share Sixth after 18 Holes

FRESNO, Calif. - The University of Oklahoma men's golf team returns to the links at the Fresno state Lexus Classic on March 9-10 at Belmont Country Club inFresno, Calif.

The 20-team field will play 54 holes (36 on Monday, 18 on Tuesday) at the par-72 6,511-yard layout.

Oklahoma's lineup features Ben Blundell, Liam Logan, Riley Pumphrey, Ryan Sirman and Chris Wilson.

Pumphrey, a redshirt freshman from Georgetown, Texas, finished third in OU's last event at the UTSA Intercollegiate on Feb. 17. His play was highlighted by a 4-under-par 67 in the final round.

OU will compete against Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, CSU-Bakersfield, Fresno City College, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Nevada, Northridge, Pacific, Sacramento State, San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UTEP and Washington.

San Diego State has won the event the previous two years, while BYU holds the record for most Lexus Classic titles with 11.
